The original Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and it’s sequel Seeds of Evil join an ever-growing list of games being remade for more modern audiences. Night Dive, who perviously worked on games such as I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream and System Shock 2 is in charge of the overhaul of the classic Nintendo 64 title.
Night Dive studios CEO and founder Steven Kick spoke about their involvement with the release:
When Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was first released it was nothing short of revolutionary. To that point, no game had ever offered the combination of graphics and an open world environment that Turok featured. We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring this great franchise back to life and to be able to share these great titles with today’s gaming audience.
The games will get many improvements, such as enhanced graphics, and will be sold through Steam, Humble, Good Old Games, GamersGate and Greenman Gaming.
Though this was just announced and has no release date as of yet, this is sure to get many fans of the decades old series excited again.
